Laura Ainscough is a New Zealander with strong global roots in art and innovation.  She has worked on art projects in Japan (Eyesaw, Tokyo Concrete) , Australia (Exit Films, art code technology), Ecuador (Gallery Chakana) and Mexico (Slot Studios, All City Canvas), both as a collaborator, artist and producer.

Blessed with a love of people and all things art&design, she facilitates an eclectic network of artists, galleries and clients in Mexico City. Some art sources operate in celebrity circles, others are street artists whose profiles are deliberately kept underground.

The Mexican Revolution was a natural flow-on from Laura’s success with her boutique tour-business, Walk it. Listed in the top 8 tour-businesses of Mexico City,  Laura’s cutting edge has been her access to Mexican art, design, and architecture scenes. This private network has enabled her guests to glimpse Mexico City's stylish urban interior and has since become the perfect platform for matching clients to new artworks and contemporary acquisitions.

Aware of her work in promoting local artists, both the El Milenio Newspaper and the cable TV show Conexion Destinos have interviewed Laura about Mexico City’s rising status as the new hotspot for fresh art and emerging talent.

When not on the street or matching art to people, you'll find Laura involved in the ANZMEX Business Council and Mexico City's HOLA AUNZ Film Festival.

The Mexican Revolution is a personalised art sourcing service. Our job is to help clients find that unique contemporary Mexican artwork they have always been looking for. The Mexican Revolution specialises in sourcing fresh and compelling artworks, one-off design pieces, and handmade artisanwares for your personal art collection, corporate acquisition, or commercial tender.

Laura carefully screens and filters a portfolio of options for you based on your needs, budget, and aesthetic sensibility.  Based on your feedback, she can then arrange a schedule of private visits to the gallery stockrooms and/or artist studios, so that clients can see the works up close, peruse the other works in stock and make to informed choices. If the gallery or artist allows works to leave the premises, she can also arrange for the piece to be hung in-situ so you can ‘live’ with a potential acquisition for a week.

A very special part of the Mexican Revolution decision-making process is facilitating artist-client introductions. Clients who are interested in this, are given the opportunity to meet with the artist, so they can find out more about their career development, personal style and artistic approach.
